Customized Servers’ Training Manuals
The topic of this
newsletter is customized servers’ training manuals, which also include
manuals for the
host/hostess and busperson positions. I believe that, in conjunction with
a complete and thorough orientation, your training manuals can be valuable
tools in the proper training of your new and existing staff. Generic
manuals are available; customized manuals are for those who want a more detailed,
business-specific manual for their employees. Your restaurant's manual
should be more personalized if it is to be used in conjunction with an
orientation process. Manuals used in an orientation process eliminate
misunderstandings and create a clear picture of what is expected of
employees.
Many of my
subscribers are simply too far away to benefit from a personal training.
The training video is still in the works. We’ve had a few delays and
setbacks, but it will be coming! The manual and video do not have to be
purchased together; they are mutually exclusive and can be used together
if so desired.
The manual that
you request would be created based upon your specifications and needs.
The time to produce your manual should be approximately two weeks and
would ultimately depend on how much information you want to incorporate.
There will be information common to all manuals that are highlighted
below:
q

Excellence is an act won by training
and habituation.
We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence,
but rather we have those because we have acted rightly.
We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
